Lee Elwell, MHA, joined New England Cancer Specialists in March, 2024 as Vice President of Operations. She has over 13 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience at the three major health systems in the state of Maine. Prior to joining NECS, Lee oversaw primary care practice operations in the Lewiston, Greater Portland and Biddeford areas. She has also held roles overseeing inpatient and outpatient quality improvement, practice transformation and regulatory compliance.

Lee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from the University of Maine, Orono and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. She also holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

Lee enjoys the Maine outdoors and all that our four seasons have to offer. She spends the majority of her free time attending her children’s various sporting events.
