Biography
Dr. Benton grew up in Connecticut, and went to college in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he studied physics. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. He then spent seven years at Brown University Medical Center in Providence, RI, where he completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. He is also board-certified in Palliative and Hospice Medicine.
Dr. Benton focuses on treatment of lymphoma, and cancers of the lung, prostate and gastrointestinal tract.
He has traveled extensively, living in Poland for two years and working in Kenya during his residency. He moved to Maine in 2007 with his wife and two sons.
